Fashions Modus Operandi, Alessandro Dell’Acqua inspires Zara?

If you remember, when Alessandro Dell’Acqua (the newly appointed creative director of Rochas) lost the trademark to his name a few years back - he made a comeback a year later with No.21 a ready-to-wear label, inspired by the 1960s Milanese bourgeoisie and named for his birthday (December 21) and his lucky number, promising to deliver wearable clothes for every day.

Recently showcased during Milan Fashion Week, No. 21 departs from the traditional evening wear of his original label with its touches of eccentricity and its contemporary feel, his brand could easily be coined as being part of the rise in streetwear, with its big logos, unconventional style and remixing of culture.

But what would Alessandro Dell’Acqua, make of these two sweatshirts below? It’s seems that Zara has been up to a little remixing of its own. Today, the Goss-IPgirl stumbled across one of the No.21 branded iconic sweaters from his collection, on the [left], and to the right, an interesting knock-off version from Zara 2013 collection, currently being sold in store. The only difference between Dell’Acqua £230 plus version and the Zara’s cheaper version is the number 21, oh and of course the price…
